Panorama I took one of my favourite pictures at Strachau on the Oberelbe. It shows two swans at sunset, swimming on the flooded Elbtal in front of mighty oaks in one of the few remaining lowland plains. I have often experienced a beautiful sunset without having a fitting subject for the foreground. On this evening, everything was perfect, sunset and foreground. It was an evening with a rare and wonderful afterglow. The picture on the first page belongs to the series that I took on that evening; it was taken half an hour after sunset.
